The book of Genesis in Bible has a fantastic story of the encounters between God and mankind, and a literal interpretation of that story runs counter to the current knowledge of physical sciences that mankind has. It leads to a natural question – “Can a version of the Genesis be created which is not at odds with the current scientific knowledge, yet remain reasonably close to the original narrative?” In this book, you will find a science-fiction version of Bible, one in which the different encounters that happen between God and mankind are narrated in a different manner. Once you read the version in this book, you will definitely wonder whether the fictional narrative in this book may indeed be closer to the truth than a literal interpretation of the holy book. From the story of creation to the struggle between Jacob and the angel, you will find a narration of Genesis which is completely plausible and consistent with the current scientific knowledge. You will find an explanation for creation within seven days, the obtaining of knowledge by eating the forbidden fruit, the creation of Eve from Adam, Noah’s escape from the flood, the disruption of the tower of Babel with the rise of multiple languages, and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah with Lot’s wife turning into a pillar of salt. These and various other events of Genesis are connected together in a novel that will make an interesting read for the science fiction enthusiast as well as a Biblical scholar.

It bills itself as a science fiction retelling of the book of Genesis, but just about the only recognizable things in it are the names. I found the stories almost universally unrecognizable as well as unappealing and the whole concept poorly conceived ands poorly carried out. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of just one is that it's at least decently written and edited. My advice is not to waste your time.Product details

Bible Revisited A Science Fiction Retelling of Genesis eBook Daylord Moon Reviews
This book will probably offend anyone whose religious beliefs rely on the truth of the Old Testament. The cover states that it is a science fiction retelling of Geneses but in fact it covers most of the Old Testament what it does is uses selective quotes from the Bible and then uses the story to "explain" these quotes, unfortunately the one quote that is missing and would sink the story if included is from Genesis 126
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
This is an easy read science fiction however we know the plot which includes such things as "tower of Babel", "Lott's wife" and "Noah and the flood". The best I can say about it is it is different and the author does say in the end notes is that there is no proof of his version which would have required Dinosaurs and Humans to exist at the same time.
This is a fun light read that explores how some parts of the Bible could have been possible. I enjoyed reading it.
